As widely reported in advance, Microsoft is dropping the price of the 20-gigabyte Xbox 360 to $299.99. The unexpected twist: Sales of that model will end when current supplies run out."

The company said the price cut on the 20GB model will go on "while supplies last," indicating it will discontinue that version of the device, while continuing to offer the hard drive-free Xbox 360 Arcade model for $280 and 120GB Xbox 360 Elite for $450.

If so, the Arcade may be getting bumped entirely, with the Premium taking its spot at $299.99 and the rumored 60GB model priced at $349.99, or perhaps MS will drop the price on the Arcade from $280 to $250 to take on the Wii directly, while the Premium will sell for $50 more than that?
