Micrsoft Denies Blu-ray Capable Xbox 360...Again It’s come to the point with the Xbox 360 with Blu-ray fiasco that I’ll only believe it when I can walk into a store and purchase one. Even an official confirmation from Microsoft might not persuade me it is real. (Nanowerk News) Venture capital (VC) firms invested $702 million in nanotechnology start-ups last year across 61 deals, slightly down from $738 million across 73 deals in 2006. But this VC spending is sharply out of sync with investment returns. Delayed again. After keeping gamers waiting for months, Sony has acknowledged that, for the second time, it will postpone the rollout of Home—the online, real-time social networking service for the PlayStation 3 video game console. Sony now plans to release a test version this summer to a limited number of users in Japan, the U.S. and Europe. After getting user feedback and giving Home a few final tweaks, Sony will open it up to all PS3 users in the fall, though it’s likely to remain a “beta”, or test, version.

Sony on Tuesday announced it will once again delay the launch of its Home virtual online world for its PlayStation 3 gaming console, with the new date slated for sometime in the fall. Last September, Sony said Home will launch early in 2008. If Sony holds to the new date, this latest announcement would mean the interactive online service will arrive about a year after its intended launch date. The company did promise a limited-test service is planned to start this summer.
