Just about any digital camera produced today allows you to also take short video clips. Flickr now allows you to upload 90 second or less clips and share them on your Flickr photostream. I totally agree with your view on video games. I think the problem is that most parents don't have the experience you and I have with video games and rely on (false) common sense.
