Fight Night Round 4 announced for 2009 Fight Night Round 4: related news

Fight Night Round 4 announced for 2009 (Fight Night Round 4)

One of the first real showcases for the 360 and its graphical capabilities was Fight Night Round 3. Instead of going by a health bar, you could just look at your fighter and see how sweaty/bruised/bleeding he was during the fight. It even made the Burger King look beautiful. But to those who thought the series might be done in three just because EA gave the boot to the game’s developer EA Chicago, well, don’t call it a comeback, but there is a Round 4.

Mike Tyson Steps Into the Ring for Round 4

Electronic Arts recently announced that EA Canada is currently developing Fight Night Round 4 under the EA Sports brand. The excellent Fight Night Round 3 was developed by the now disbanded EA Chicago, so EA Canada has some pretty big shoes to fill. Luckily, it seems like the new developers are up to the tall task with the recent announcement that "Iron" Mike Tyson will be in the game (now if they could only get Jack Johnson in the game and cut down on all the damn in-game advertisement).

APOY Round Five

In our round 5 we ask you to consider the meaning of the word 'Structure'. Traditionally, this suggests architecture, and for this round you may want to dust off your wideangle lenses and frame the panorama of tall buildings in your nearest metropolis. Maybe you're more driven to explore provincial churches, Roman ruins or the support beams in your ceiling. Structure is everywhere and has no maximum height.

In Australia, Conroy has launched a plain-English internet alert service to help small businesses and individuals without access to specialist support on cyber-safety

Round Robin Scheduling Not Power-Efficient

Via_Patrino writes "While having to distribute load between several servers, round robin, or any other technique that balances load equally, is the most common approach because of its simplicity. But a recent study shows that trying to accumulate load on some servers can improve energy efficiency because the other servers will be mostly unused during off-peak periods and then able to make better use of power saving methods. Specially, where load involves lots of concurrent power-consuming TCP connections, which was the case in the study, a new load-balancing algorithm resulted in an overall 30% power savings. Here's the paper (PDF)."
