eldavojohn writes "The watch-dog group Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) has set its sights on the rating of GTA IV, primarily because a player can drive drunk in the game. MADD released a statement saying that 'Drunk driving is not a game, and it is not a joke. Drunk driving is a choice, a violent crime and it is also 100 percent preventable.' MADD also is asking Rockstar Games to consider removing GTA IV from distribution 'out of respect for the millions of victims/survivors of drunk driving.' Rockstar replied to MADD by saying 'we have a great deal of respect for MADD's mission, but we believe the mature audience for "Grand Theft Auto IV" is more than sophisticated enough to understand the game's content.' As expected, Jack Thompson is making his usual attention-whoring remarks by comparing GTA IV to the polio virus.

(Prudent Press Agency)-- Since the blockbuster games release on April 29th, Grand Theft Auto IV has broken all types of sales records on its way to over $500 million USD in sales in just a couple of weeks. There have however, been reports that PS3 gamers have repeatedly had inexplicable freezes occur during their gaming experience. There were similar issues on the 360 version, but for the most part both companies have stayed mum on the technical problems.

Reports surfaced earlier today saying that PS3 owners were not able to join online matches. Since I own a 60GB launch PS3, I had a friend bring his PS3 copy by and try it out. We had little luck connecting to any game type today. My Xbox 360 copy isn’t here yet but it supposedly has no multiplayer connectivity issues. How about the rest of you PS3 owners? How’s your luck with getting online with GTA IV?
