November 10, 2008 - Trying to come up with just about any ranked list of games for the PlayStation 2 when it's enjoyed such ridiculous success has to pass for cruel and unusual punishment. How much does it cost to have a female running mate? Apparently, $150,000, since that's what the Republican National Committee has spent in the past seven weeks to clothe and accessorize Sarah Palin with duds from Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, reports Politico. (It also shelled out over $8,000 for John McCain's makeup artist.) Since the news broke, some Republicans have expressed their disgust for the over-the-top spending, which seems to be legal because it's the RNC's money. Liberal bloggers say that it's "more than a little humiliating" and criticize Palin for her spending habits. Marc Ambinder and our Bonnie Erbe point out that the $150,000 could have bought McCain much-needed TV ads. Conservative bloggers are more sympathetic to Palin's need to look good on TV, and Michelle Malkin says the governor's "got something special tha
