MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is moving from the rugged desert to a lush Pacific island with all of the vehicles familiar of the first game (ATVs, rally cars, buggies, motorbikes, race trucks, etc.), while adding a new monster truck class. Evolution studios revealed the game is nearing completion as they have just submitted the gold master candidate to testers, to give testers one last hammering.

PS3 Fanboy reports: Want a sneaky peek at some of MotorStorm Pacific Rift's tracks? This montage video shows what you can expect from the "Earth Zone" levels in the game. These make up only a quarter of the game's tracks, so no doubt we'll be seeing videos showcasing the Water, Fire and Air zones before the game releases on October 28th (November 14th in Europe). In the meantime, check out Kanaloa Bay, Mudslide, Sugar Rush and Razorback in the video above.

When the PS3 was launched last year it came bundled with MotorStorm, this was a raw all out racing game which was total carnage. The rough road surface and constant danger of crashing into hard rock surfaces, added to the excitement of the game.

Thrustmaster T-X3 Charge Hub for the Sony PS3

Today we looking at a PS3 accessory from Thrustmaster called the T-X3 Charge Hub. The hub charges two PS3 controllers and adds needed USB ports to the PS3. We play lots of PS3 around my house, specifically we really like Rock Band. The problem when you have all four ports on the PS3 packed with drums, guitars and a mic is that when a normal PS3 controller goes dead, you can't even connect it to the system to use while it recharges. Thrustmaster has a product that fixes this issue called the T-X3 Charge Hub. Read on for all the details of the T-X3 Charge Hub.

MotorStorm Mondays: The MotorStorm Festival, Demo Coming This Week

Since Day 1, I knew it wasn't going to be easy to put a soundtrack together that would have the right vibe for a festival of racing like MotorStorm. You see, Music is one of those things that no one is ever "wrong" about. Everyone has an opinion, and everyone knows best, but no one is ever wrong! After countless discussions with various people involved in creating the Festival Infrastructure around the MotorStorm racing events, my challenge was set: I needed to put together a lineup that not only fit with a racing game, but one which could feasibly be the Festival line up to end all Festival line ups. It had to be Anarchic, Aggressive and Raucous. That was the easy part. The tough part was making sure that the soundtrack became as much a signature of MotorStorm as the racing itself was.

MotorStorm's Target Render "Pissed Us Off A Lot" Say Devs

Evolution Studios lead designer Nigel Kershaw and creative director Paul Hollywood, responsible for the recent MotorStorm: Pacific Rift for the PlayStation 3, tell 1UP that the "infamous" E3 2005 trailer for the first MotorStorm "kind of pissed us off a lot." Why? Well, for one thing, it wasn't created by them and set the team up for "expectations about the rendering prowess that we were going to expose."

Is it time for Sony to drop the PS3's price?

At up to US$470 fully loaded, Sony's PS3 doesn't come cheap, so I'm going to have to agree with EEDAR analyst Jesse Divinich when he suggests the PS3 is getting clobbered by Microsoft's recent Xbox 360 price cuts. The PS3 costs around $400 in its base configuration, ascending to upwards of $470 if you tack on an HDMI cable ($20) and Bluetooth headset ($50). The Xbox 360 tends to be slightly to significantly more expensive if you load up its three configurations with most of the PS3's bells and whistles, but its base pricing still seems lower when you scan sticker to sticker.

Motorstorm Pacific Rift get its US servers and launches on today (for some reason, we get it on November 7th - giving the Americans a chance to get up to speed?). That's not concerning developer, Evolution Studios too much though. It's more concerned with getting the downloadable content (DLC) ready for after Xmas.
