Matt Bacak Explains the Steps to using Personal Finances for Business Start Up

(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 19, 2008 ) Suwanee, GA –Many business owners agree that starting a small business will involve the personal finances of the owner, even though the business may be formally regarded as a separate entity. This is probably due to the fact that the business owner may be likely to lose his source of income during the initial operations period, especially during the first 3 to 6 months. With this in mind, adequate planning, budgeting and saving should be done by the business owner prior to starting the business so as to have a pool of funds to support personal expenses. One of the first steps to do this would be to track their monthly expenses on a daily basis in order to adequately determine actual personal costs. Business owners should be sure to include buffers for emergency or surprise expenses.

Could Intel beat AMD in its own "Fusion" plans? Finally, Larrabee, the GPU technology Intel is building, was verified to support OpenGL and DirectX upon release and Intel provided information on a new extension

Intel Ramps Up 45nm Chip Production, Announces 'Atom' Line

Multiple readers have written to tell us of the latest developments out of Intel. Earlier this week, Intel announced the Atom brand of low cost, low power consumption processors. The CPUs, measuring only 25 square millimeters, are the result of the Silverthorne and Diamondville projects. The announcement has caused this CNet columnist to question whether Intel can "spur innovation in ultrasmall devices the way it has in the PC and server industry." Concurrently, Intel has increased its production of 45nm processors to a rate of roughly 100,000 chips per day. As TG Daily notes, the massive investments Intel has made into chip production will make it difficult for AMD to catch up.

Indian Consumer Electronics Maker Videocon Will Bid For Motorolas Handset Business

Indian consumer electronics maker Videocon Group will be bidding for Motorola’s mobile devices business, its chairman Chairman Venugopal Dhoot told Dow Jones today. Venugopal declined to put a price or value on the bid. The news comes a week after Motorola (NYSE: MOT) split its business in two, hiving off its mobile division. Dhoot told Bloomberg that it needs a handset business so that they could “complete the full chain,” in India, where they “are in consumer durables…in retail…and also have mobile phone licenses.” Merrill Lynch estimates that Moto’s handset business is worth about $3.8 billion—more than double the market value of Videocon Industries, the group’s listed company. If its bid were successful, Videocon would become the world’s third largest handset maker.
