Gossip Girl and The OC creator Josh Schwartz is to write a new instalment of the X-Men series that will concentrate on the younger members of the team. The last film grossed just under $500 million worldwide (despite being utterly mediocre) after Bryan Singer handed over the reins to Brett Ratner. The new flick is to be called X-Men: First Class and Fox are toying with the idea of using the gang of tweens from the last film as the core cast; otherwise it'll be a whole new bunch of angst ridden, mutant superheroes dealing with bad guys and hair in strange places. Schwartz has apparently also been offered the chance to direct to film but turned it down - JJ Abrams he is not. No word on returning cast or any other possible helmer yet.

Best Buy Unveils New "Mobile Life" Store

Minneapolis-based Best Buy Co. Inc. officially announced that it is launching standalone stores in malls designed "to help customers get more from their mobile lives." At 3,000 sq. ft., the new Best Buy Mobile stores are double the size of the original standalone Best Buy Mobile stores, yet not as large as traditional Best Buy stores, which average about 40,000 sq. ft. PCB sticks to hosting India cricket series in Pakistan

ABU DHABI: Pakistan cricket officials Saturday termed shifting of their home series against India to neutral venues as “mere speculation”, saying preparations are at full swing in their country. India is scheduled to tour Pakistan in January-February to play a side game, three Tests, five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 but the tour is already in doubt over the security situation in the host country. But Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief operating officer Salim Altaf voiced confidence the series would go ahead as per the schedule. “We have not heard anything from the Indian Board and until we hear something contrary, Indian team will play the first match on the 9th January in Hyderabad and the first Test starts on the 13th in Karachi,” Altaf told reporters.
