16 July 2008 - Twenty first place winners of the 2008 Chinese Children's Painting Competition organized by the Luo Hong Foundation and UNEP are in Nairobi to receive their awards from UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner. The 20 children were selected winners of the competition which was had over 1.5 million entries from all regions of China. Other winners include 100 second place winners and 500 third place winners. The theme of the Competition was Climate Change: "What can we do to make our earth cool down?" The Chinese Children's Painting Competition is chaired by Liz Rihoy of Resource Africa.

Sweden's largest game development competition unveiled the 2008 winners at Kulturhuset in central Stockholm on Saturday May 24. A total of 100 000 SEK (17 000 USD) was awarded to the winners.
