This month I've received 5 new opinions about what a Webmaster is. Do you agree? Disagree? Fill out the "What is a Webmaster" survey. What do you think a Webmaster is? What do you use as your job title? Most people who read this site don't like the title "webmistress", but beyond that there isn't a lot of consensus. The following comments are the latest I've received, but you can read all of them in What is a Webmaster 4 - Reader Comments.

There are so many different Web titles, it's amazing. I've seen everything from: Webmaster, Webmistress, Web Producer, Web Designer, Web Developer, Web Architect, Web Programmer, and many more. What is your Web job title? I have been a Web Setter, a Web Manager, and a Web Writer, as well as several of the titles listed above. Right now I call myself a Web Developer, Web Designer, or Web Writer, but that could change.

I made some changes to the title tags of a site over a month ago and only a few of the pages are showing the updated title tags. From my Webmaster Tools, I know for a fact that Google has re-crawled all of the pages on the site within the last 2 weeks, but is still displaying the majority of the indexed pages with the old title tags.

After the first announcement on 1997-04-27 and over eleven years of fresh start after fresh start, Duke Nukem Forever finally comes to your system. At least if your system is an Xbox 360. Jon Siegler, the webmaster of 3D Realms, confirms this on their site: "As has been reported around the net today, we can confirm that the game has indeed passed final certification with Microsoft on Friday the 15th of August (on our first try, no less). That means the game is done — it is now in the hands of Microsoft." Update: 08/19 10:47 GMT by T : Several readers have written with a correction: this announcement is actually about Duke Nukem 3D, rather than Duke Nukem Forever.

TnGoastiiaiu submitted a space.com story that expands on coverage we've had earlier about improvements being made to the ISS to increase crew capacity. He writes "ISS gets new recycling gear that transforms human waste to drinking water. Some of the water will be used to get Oxygene, too. This way it will soon be possible to host more crew members. " Also, someone needs to smack the webmaster over there for putting a background texture behind the text. It's pretty unreadable along the left hand side of the screen.

Google’s photo storing app Picasa Web Albums had a bit of a privacy vulnerability. When you create an unlisted album to send to friends, you’ll usually not expect the URL to get out to non-friends – that’s why Google included an authentication key parameter in the URL so it’s not possible to quickly guess the address (they didn’t in the beginning, which allowed you to e.g. see Larry Page’s unlisted album, but Google were later convinced it makes sense). However, Google allowed outgoing links in comments to photos of those unlisted albums. When you entered e.g. “Great photo, also see http://example.com” as a comment just a while ago, Google would automatically create a direct link to Example.com. As you know if you’re a webmaster, when someone clicks such a direct link – i.
