untrustworthy: search

Science puts a face to honesty

This computer-generated image was compiled by scientists who asked more than 100 people to pick out facial characteristics they indentify with trust and honesty. Among the favoured features were a full, rounded face, thin eyebrows, bright eyes, small nose and no facial hair. Untrustworthy characteristics emerged as a sharp jawline, thick eyebrows, eyes wide apart, wide nose, stubble and small mouth with full lips. The Alibi Trustworthy Study was carried out by Dr Chris Solomon of the University of Kent.
