Tired Of Motorstorm 2?

TheSixthAxis writes: "Unsubstantiated rumours are the foundation stones of many a site. Not us though. Uh-uh, no way, not never. So, we present a fully substantiated rumour. And by substantiated we mean someone told us of a link and we clicked on it and the link worked. And that's as far as we're going."

Experience the New Xbox, Uh, Experience

Microsoft has launched a site all about the New Xbox Experience which gives you a feel for what it'll be like in motion by simulating the new dashboard. It also has some videos of new features in addition to the avatar creation one we already saw, like Parties, deeper social networking and more community content. I'm pretty excited about it. Too bad the site doesn't mention a date, though Major Nelson swears it won't be right after that massive outage on Monday. [New Xbox Experience via Kotaku]

Did Apple Actually Bow to NBC to Get 30 Rock Back on iTunes?

One of the smaller, but still significant announcements yesterday was that NBC was coming back to iTunes and that they'd be one of the channels offering TV shows in high-def—for $2.99. Buried in that, even, is that they'll sell a bunch of older shows for just 99 cents an ep, and offer discounts to Season Pass buyers. Cnet says that "What this means for consumers, however, is that Apple is slowly losing control over pricing of video content at iTunes." Uh, what?

Video: Three-Armed Robo-Chopter Takes Off

Just when you've thought you've seen every kind of drone there is, along comes the oddly-shaped Draganflyer X6. It boasts "six rotors on three arms, 11 sensors (including GPS) and flies like a dream," coos Wired magazine editor-in-chief (and drone builder) Chris Anderson. Everyone from NASA to the FBI to the Saskatoon Police Service are using the three-foot, electric-powered robocopters, its makers claim. And the Draganflyer's selection of low-light, infrared and optical cameras are good for everything from crime-scene investigations to pipeline inspections to, uh, library monitoring, they promise. But with a mere 25-minute flight time, it's not going to compete that hard in the military market, quite yet. Still, it is cool-looking.
