Moody`s giving more weight to web sales is "a key milestone,

The recent announcement by Moody’s Investors Service that it was giving greater weight to online sales in rating retailers’ debt is a significant step that will give successful e-retailers a reason to trumpet their results and put pressure on laggards to improve their online performance, says James Okamura, a senior partner at retail consulting firm J.C. Williams Group Ltd.

Jazz/World CD: Various artists, Miles from India

This double CD is a collection of Miles Davis tunes performed by Indian musicians and Miles alumni. Thankfully, it's neither wilfully obscure nor a marketing gimmick. If you are familiar with the great jazz trumpeter's later recordings, which frequently featured tablas and sitars, the concept will seem quite logical. The opening 20-minute version of Spanish Key is a glorious melange of western and eastern sounds, starting with Wallace Roney's solo trumpet and featuring Rakesh Chaurasia on flute. Ife (from the album Big Fun) sounds great, arranged in fast and slow versions. What's surprising is the extent to which tunes from the 1959 classic Kind of Blue work in this context. Blue in Green features Roney alongside sarangi, Indian vocals and veteran drummer Jimmy Cobb, while So What features "voice percussion".
