NAVTEQ has completed its previously announced acquisition of T-Systems Traffic, GmbH, a real-time traffic tracking service based in Germany. The acquisition will enable a German release of NAVTEQ Traffic, a location-based live traffic service that is already available in U.S. and Canada. Market research firm comScore recently reported its tracking of holiday season retail e-commerce spending for the holiday shopping season, which began Nov. 1 and ended Dec. 23. Online spending reached $25.5 billion during that period, down 3 percent compared to the corresponding shopping days in 2007.
