Kim Fidler from Kombo.com writes: I happened to be out and about earlier today when I came across the newest line of toys at McDonald's. We told you about the LEGO Batman series earlier this month and it appears that they are now officially available. Check the picture I snapped above to see what you can score yourself when you pretend that you're buying a Happy Meal for your imaginary child.

Thinkway Toys's Pixar desk accessory/lamp/toy/thingamabob has a Luxo Jr. that moves and illuminates exactly like in the movie. As you can see in the video, you can activate it with a motion sensor and a remote control, a key ring in the shape of the the ball. It's cool for a piece of plastic, but I wish it really was a full-scale robot version of the iconic Luxo lamp that Pixar used in their second short. Hopefully we will have one of those next decade. A flying one. With lasers. And antimatter torpedoes. [Thinkway Toys via Slashfilm]

When your country builds 70% of the world's electronic toys, it's pretty easy to to come up with some interesting commemerative items, for say, the Olympics. In this case, Chinese workers put their $40-a-month efforts into an MP3 player shaped like the birds nest inspired Bejing stadium. The Bejing MP3 offers a choice of capacity ranging from 1GB to 4GB, handles the usual MP3/WMA combo, and has a small LCD display. Otherwise, it is a simple bare bones player. Oh wait, did I mention that the unit has a matching speaker? The Bejing Stadium MP3 player is priced cheap enough, $19.99 for the 1GB and $32.56 for the 4GB unit. Another $12.98 gets the matching speaker.
