Startled Hippo writes "Safari and Chrome are tied for the worst password manager built into a major Web browser according to a new study on the issue produced by Chapin Information Services. One problem is that some password managers can be tricked into submitting different password credentials to different parts of the same Web site. The bug has been fixed in Firefox, but Chrome and Safari are still vulnerable to this kind of attack."

Last week, CondĂ© Nast said it was suspending new website launches due to economyâs tailspin. Now, it is closing a blog network tied to Glamour, Allure and Self, Mediaweek reported. The blogs being disbanded include skin care adviser Product Fiend, weight loss site Elastic Waist; and sex-focused Daily Bedpost. Mediaweek says the âlittle knownâ blogs were created by Susan Kaplow, CNâs director of syndication and development. The blogs were designed to have a subtle connection to CNâs mags, with their own individual look and feel. All the while, they would link heavily back to CNâs mag sites. In the meantime, it doesnât appear that they will be missed by many. Seattle-based Amazon.com has tied its video on demand services to Roku, a developer of Internet-connected digital video players. According to Amazon.com, beginning sometime in early 2009, Roku's hardware will support Amazon's Video On Demand titles. Roku's services currently only support Netflix Internet titles. Financial details of the deal between the companies was not disclosed. Roku sells its set top boxes for $99; pricing on access to Amazon's Video On Demand titles was not released.
