I've just returned from a luxurious weekend away in Queenstown, the details of which I'll share with you tomorrow. I flew Air New Zealand and the service couldn't have been better. The circumstances of late are incredibly tragic, but the staff onboard NZ648 last night were full of warmth and enthusiasm, and you know as a company they will pull through this tragedy. The Indian honeymooners next to me said it felt good to be flying Air New Zealand, to be supporting our national carrier at this time. And they're right.

He's cute, cuddly and certainly the apple of Jennifer Aniston's eye. But this furry little bundle of joy is the closest thing to a baby the actress will get her hands on for a while.

In Tropic Thunder, Ben Stiller plays beefcake action star Tugg Speedman, who made his name in a film where the earth ceased to turn, causing a catastrophic ice age. "Who left the fridge open?" he quips in his gravelly voice before singlehandedly restoring movement to the planet with megaton explosives and daring journeys to the earth's core. Sadly, this is not that film, but rather a stupendously dull remake of Robert Wise's 1951 sci-fi classic in which a strange alien creature comes to Earth. Keanu Reeves stars, giving the kind of torpid performance that lesser beings can only approximate by necking a hundredweight of Temazepam. The lights are on at the top of the spaceship, but there's no one at the controls.

While some of our thunder was stolen this morning by our brethren at Opposable Thumbs, we still feel its worth noting that Apple is now sharing (iTs Link ) the iTunes Store's top downloads in a wide variety of areas. While we did report on the top selling singles and albums yesterday, at the time we were unaware that Apple was planning on releasing an all-inclusive list, much less releasing it the next day.
