Third-party payment secures online purchase

The so-called third party payment means such a kind of trading in which a certain third party institution provided with ensured credit standing provide trusteeship services on funds for purpose of trading while sellers and purchasers conduct their settlements on a platform that the third party provides with. When a purchaser had confirmed an order, payment for goods should be first remitted onto the third party's platform, which will give a consignment notice to the seller upon having confirmed that the payment has been gathered. When the purchaser has accepted the goods and confirmed that the goods are satisfactory, the third party will remit the payment to the seller. So both sellers and purchasers will be under the supervision of the third party platform.

The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye DVD 5

Honoka has a new assignment, and this time she finds herself working directly for The Third! When Joganki disappears while on a diplomatic task and is presumed captured, Fila Marique directly seeks out Honoka to handle the delicate, challenging task, and for additional firepower she sends the autonomous Auto Enforcer Blue Breaker as her back-up, much to Honoka's consternation. The foe, Rona Fauna, was once one of The Third and has now developed an ability to seize control of Auto Enforcers, hence the need for the Sword Dancer rather than The Third's normal troopers, but it is her control of the Wormhole Driver which concerns The Third even more. With her new tuned-up PSP suit and the assistance of Bogie, Paife, Iks, and the hated Blue Breaker, Honoka finds herself facing a small army of defenders.

Why The 'Third Party Doctrine' Undermines Online Privacy Protections

There's been an interesting discussion going on between my colleague Jim Harper and legal scholar Orrin Kerr about the third party doctrine, the legal principle that, in effect, you lose your Fourth Amendment rights when you relinquish information to a third party. The doctrine has become increasingly important with the rise of modern technology because we now entrust a host of private data -- including our email, cell phone calling data, credit card transactions, and more -- to private companies, and the third party doctrine would seem to suggest that Fourth Amendment protections would not extend to such information. A couple of weeks ago, Kerr posted a draft paper defending the doctrine, arguing that it brings clarity and simplicity to privacy law and avoids the need for "a complex framework of sui generis rules.

Hubble Spies Third Red Spot on Jupiter

Jupiter appears to be breaking out with spots, as a third red storm has joined the Great Red Spot and Red Spot Jr. (or Oval BA) in the planet's turbulent atmosphere. This third spot used to be a white storm, and its change to a red color might mean the storm is becoming more powerful. Astronomers believe these new images captured by both the Hubble and the Keck telescope may show that Jupiter is undergoing a major climate change, as was predicted four years ago.

Application Security for Open Source - The New Frontier

Hybrid applications made up of proprietary, open source and third-party components are the result of today’s fast-paced and complex software development landscape. Applications developed within the last five years – whether internal or external – are at least 50% open source software (OSS) and third-party components. Of that amount, over one-third of it is undocumented. What were once purely proprietary applications are now complex code mashups. It’s safe to say that open source is everywhere – it’s woven throughout your enterprise network whether or not you are aware of it.
