Today Verizon Wireless made a Web page live that advertises the imminent arrival of the BlackBerry Storm. The Storm is a touch screen BlackBerry that has what Verizon Wireless calls "global capabilities." Verizon didn't provide any more information, and gave no word on exactly when the device will be announced, but you can sign up for email updates concerning the Storm on the Web site.

We've seen some of the BlackBerry Storm's older UI in blurry shots and videos, but it's obviously gotten a recent facelift—especially the keyboard, which used to look absolutely gross. Storm Reviews has a load of pics of the freshest UI off of Vodaphone's version, and it looks pretty good, though I find the italics for the keyboard font to be oddly annoying. [Storm Reviews via BGR]

Screenshots and photos of Verizon's new BlackBerry Storm have been posted, offering users a glimpse of the full touchscreen RIM handset. As seen on StormReviews, the Storm offers a very similar interface to the BlackBerry Bold, albeit with a touchscreen-based keyboard, previously revealed to operate using a combination of touch and pressure levels. When used vertically, the keys join together, similar to how other smartphone keyboards are presented.

There's sure been a lot of talk about the Verizon BlackBerry Storm, but since a picture is worth 1000 words...uhh, I guess this picture means there's even more talk about the Verizon BlackBerry Storm. A leaked press photo from the CrackBerry forums, that red interface gives us a not-so-migraine-free reminder of that one time we played the Virtual Boy. [CrackBerry]

A alleged AT&T sales guide, leaked to the public, suggests concern by the carrier over Research in Motion's latest BlackBerry phone. The guide is said to be a memo circulating inside of AT&T, trumpeting the benefits of the iPhone 3G over the BlackBerry Storm, which AT&T claims will ship through Verizon sometime in October or November. The guide states that the Storm will lack Apple's proprietary multi-touch technology, as well as Wi-Fi and tri-band HSDPA, the latter allowing 3G data in more areas outside of North America.

The sneaksters over at Boy Genius Report have somehow gotten their hands on an official Powerpoint presentation of the soon-to-be-released BlackBerry Storm. This is evidently a Verizon property, since the wallpaper on all the Storms is their signature red V, but no mention of price or release date. Still, some good shots and a lot of info, including new stuff on media syncing, touch typing, and more, for those waiting for the touchscreen wonder. [BGR]
