Blizzard Sets Starcraft II Voice Actor Audition Call

Starcraftwire.net has the breaking News: Blizzard Entertainment is seeking Starcraft II voice actors to fill up the position for the role of Jim Raynor and Kerrigan the Queen of Blades. Fansites and the Starcraft community in general will petition Blizzard to hire the former voice actors Glynnis Talken and Robert Clotworthy to reprise their roles.

Blizzard COO: We're not milking StarCraft 2

Blizzard has categorically denied it is 'milking' the StarCraft franchise by deciding to release StarCraft II in three separate products.

StarCraft on console would look more like EndWar, says Ubi

Blizzard would never simply port StarCraft to console. If it decided to move to under-TV machines with the franchise, the game would end up looking more like Tom Clancy's EndWar than its PC counterpart, Ubi Shanghai director Michael de Plater's told VG247.

StarCraft Patch 1.16 Released

Patch 1.16 offers some optimizations: "[StarCraft] now only uses as much CPU as it needs to run smoothly." In-game chat (excluding whispers) is now saved in the replays. There's some bug fixes and the removal of several exploits including Terrans drop-anywhere nukes and some additional Zerg exploits as well.

Blizzard have announced this morning that they have purged a gigantic 350,000 players from their Battle.net online service. The players dismissed were apparently caught using illicit third-party hacks in games like StarCraft and Diablo II.
