Frequency Domain Analysis For RFICs Using The GoldenGate RFIC Simulator

RFICs (radio frequency integrated circuits) provide the backbone for wireless communication. Over the past several decades, the transceiver has evolved from discrete components into highly integrated circuits with several thousand transistors. The proliferation of cellular communications in addition to new standards such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, WiMax, UWB (ultra wideband), and others have pushed the envelope of historical design techniques. Most of the building blocks, such as LNAs (low-noise amplifiers), VCOs (voltage-controlled oscillators), mixers, PAs (power amplifiers), and filters, have remained the same. These blocks, however, have greatly increased in both size and complexity. The drive into lower cost technologies such as SiGe (silicon germanium) and CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) – with their associate lower v

New Online Hockey Game, METROHO Launched

METROHO (standing for the Metropolis Hockey Organization and not a local hooker) is a managerial browser based multiplayer hockey game that is taking a new approach to the simulator genre. Most simulators automatically simulate its games and then notify the users of the result. METROHO, although offering this option as well, goes a step further by allowing its users to send out specific lines during different times in the game, while specifying the way that the line should play. For example, the user can control whether the team plays aggressive or conservative.
