Don't fall off your chair, but there's an exhibition of Flemish art from Breughel to Rubens at the Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace opening on October 17. Actually, you should fall off your chair - shame on you. Breughel's Massacre of the Innocents (pictured above) is worth the entrance charge alone, and doubtless there will other surprising treasures from a collection that never ceases to amaze. Don't believe anyone who tries to tell you the Royal Collection is all Landseers and monarchical portraits. Last time I visited the Queen's Gallery it just happened to have a Duccio altarpiece on view - a gobsmacking treasure of medieval Sienese art I never knew the Queen owned. And let's never forget she has the greatest collection of Leonardo da Vinci's drawings on earth.

(RTTNews) - FX Energy Inc. (FXEN: News ) said it has taken steps to improve its already liquid balance sheet. The company has drawn an additional $14 million under its Senior Credit Facility through the Royal Bank of Scotland. Including previous cash on hand, the $5 million drawn and announced previously, and the new funding, the company now has approximately $24 million in liquid assets. The most recent draw brings the total amount outstanding with RBS to $25 million, the total amount currently available under the Facility. For the short-term, the proceeds would be invested in US treasury bills.

American Express Travel is partnering with Royal Caribbean International for the unveiling of the final “neighborhood” aboard RCI’s Oasis of the Seas, which the cruise line will launch in November 2009. The cruise ship’s design features “neighborhoods,” which will provide an array of experiences to cater to guests’ personal style, preferences or moods. The unveiling of the final neighborhood, available exclusively to American Express cardmembers, customers and travel agents, will take place Oct. 21 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time, via a live WebEx webcast.
