Run them mad first -GPL

ONE hundred years of rice history is a significant feature in Guyana. Guyana must be commended for this and I hope that we can keep this up and even better the way we cultivate rice in Guyana. I became very enthused after seeing what the Government and especially the Ministry of Agriculture and the Guyana Rice Development Board have been doing for rice farmers. The Conference, for example, which was held over the weekend at the International Conference Centre, witnessed the participation of not only Guyanese experts but also scientists from various rice growing countries around the world. It is only with interest and dedication to the rice industry will any Government support this kind of event and they must be commended for the hard work and effort for shouldering the responsibilities of having the concert here.
