Spoiler-Free Review of Indiana Jones

Following last week's sour review of Indiana Jones, Seamus123 links us to "A spoiler-free review of the brilliant new Indiana Jones film, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Much has been made of the revival of the series: is Harrison Ford too old, is Shia LeBeouf any good and can it live up to the three previous movies? All these questions — and some surprising answers — are found in Den of Geek's review." Personally I'll see it no matter what.

Show Business: The Portfolio Review Diaries

We asked a photographer, Doug Menuez, and a gallery director, Debra Klomp Ching of Klompching Gallery in Brooklyn, to keep notes of their experiences as reviewee and reviewer during Review Santa Fe, the portfolio review organized by the Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is one of the only portfolio events which uses a jury to screen applicants. This year, 95 photographers were selected to attend the review, which took place June 5 to 7.

Casio Exilim EX-Z80 Review by Digital Camera Review

Review (Summary): "The EX-Z80 features an 8.1 megapixel sensor and Casio's Exilim Engine 2.0, which "delivers sharper photos and higher-quality videos using less energy than ever before-and at faster speeds, thanks to an improved signal processor." There's a 2.6-inch monitor, face and smile detection technologies, an interesting auto shutter feature, a 3x optical zoom lens, a little over 12 MB of internal memory, and an ISO sensitivity range of 64 to 1600. ...

Briefly: review, call for iPhone/PHP developers

In brief: We have posted a review of Colin McRae Rally Mac, MacNN is seeking experienced web/Xcode developers, Adobe's Flash 2 Beta for Mac OS X undergoes a bug fix, an iPhone 3G ringtone tool debuts, and The Macintosh Business Users Society will hold a meeting in Philadelphia this month ... We have posted a review of Colin McRae Rally Mac. This game features over 30 cars and many famous scenic spots from the sport. While the game is a port of Colin McRae Rally 2005 on the PC, the game holds up well to age, with its rapid frame rate, and solid game mechanics. Despite Colin's comparably modest system requirements, which allows play on high-end PowerBook G4 or PowerMac G5 machines, it does not support the Intel integrated graphics chipsets, leaving Mac Mini and MacBook gamers out in the cold.

Full Review of the iPhone 2 On Launch Day

With the launch of Apple's brand-spanking-new 3G iPhone today, Engadget has a great review of the product and many of the prominent features. The review has quite a few good pictures and is not shy about technical details, but I guess they would know a fair bit about it, having ripped one apart yesterday. "The wireless industry is a notoriously tough nut to crack, and it's become pretty clear that the first iPhone wasn't about total domination so much as priming the market and making a good first impression with some very dissatisfied cellphone users. With the iPhone 3G, though, Apple's playing for keeps. Not only is this iPhone's Exchange enterprise support aiming straight for the heart of the business market, but the long-awaited 3rd party application support and App Store means it's no longer just a device, but a viable computing platf

Sorcerer Linux Review

IconThe purpose of this review is to provide some additional exposure to source-based Linux distributions in general, and Sorcerer in particular. We've been using Sorcerer where I work since January of this year and have been completely satisfied with the experience. Hopefully this review will give you a good idea of why we use Sorcerer, and it may move you to try it yourself. I'm no systems adminstrator, so if I can install and work with Sorcerer, most people with a little Linux experience will be able to also.
