The financial collapse coupled with the ruble depreciation prompted the nation to convert into dollars their ruble deposits. The September reports of Russia’s banks revealed the decline in ruble deposits and the growth of deposits denominated in foreign currencies. The trend has strengthened in October due to the material appreciation of the U.S. dollar.

Barence writes "The deplorable speed of British broadband connections has been revealed in the latest figures from the Office of National Statistics, which show that 42.3% of broadband connections are slower than 2Mb/sec. More worryingly, the ONS statistics are based on the connection's headline speed, not actual throughput, which means that many more British broadband connections are effectively below the 2Mb/sec barrier. Better still, a separate report issued yesterday by Ofcom revealed that the majority of broadband users had no idea about the speed of their connection anyway."

Patapon 2 is a upcoming video game by Sony. It is a sequel to Patapon. It has been revealed that it will host a four player multi-player mode. Patapon designer Hiroyuki Kotani has revealed that the multi-player mode stems off the single-player mode, the latter of which will cause you to come across giant eggs. These eggs are said to contain helpful items or smaller eggs. To hatch the eggs, four players must defend the egg on an enemy-laden multi-player battleground, while moving it to a special egg-hatching altar. At this altar, all players must perform a hatching ceremony, which involves playing their rhythms in synchronization to crack the egg.
