After months of having it easy, England's selectors might need a lie-down once they have finalised the eleven for Headingley. Andrew Flintoff returns, but that's the simple decision. He will bat at No. 7 - an admission that his status as a world-class allrounder has slipped in absentia - which means Tim Ambrose must bat as high as No. 6 if England play five bowlers. From Spencer's Benefits Reports: Companies that sponsor both large defined benefit plans and 401(k) plans see better investment returns from their defined benefit plans, according to Watson Wyatt. This generally is true because larger plans have access to a wider variety of investment options and economies of scale. As reported in a recent Insider newsletter, Watson Wyatt used 5500 form data to calculate the median rate of return for plan sponsors that sponsored both a defined benefit plan and a 401(k) plan, each with at least 100 participants.

If you use the URL.openStream() method, there's no way to determine whether a request was successful or not. The only alternative is to use the URL.openConnection() method, which returns a URLConnection instance. The URLConnection is an abstract class, meaning that it provides a template of methods, which other classes will implement. Even though the URL.openConnection() method returns a URLConnection instance, it is actually returning a concrete implementation of that class.

porcupine8 writes "Good news for those that have had a hole in their heart (and Facebook profile) since Hasbro forced Facebook to remove Scrabulous over copyright and trademark issues. The creators of Scrabulous have wasted no time in tweaking the game and have launched a new tile-based game called Wordscraper. In addition to changing the name, they have changed the board look so as not to directly copy the colors, etc of a Scrabble board, and have even made provisions for players to create their own board layout! Interested Scrabulous fans can add the application now. Only time will tell if the changes were extensive enough to keep Hasbro's lawyers at bay."
