In the realm of writing music for the Nintendo DS, the hardware can present various challenges to composers working on the platform. As a result, music made for the DS can vary in its quality, depending heavily on both the skill of the composer, as well as the quality of the instrument sounds used to create the music. Fortunately in Stephen Geering's case, both of these were very much well executed in his soundtrack for Konami's Lost In Blue 3. It's nearing completion, and I'm starting to look for a method to share it with the anyone willing to spare a minute. There are dozens of video sharing and streaming sites out there, making my choice very difficult to make. Looking for the best possible video and audio quality, while still having vast OS and browser compatibility leaves me dumbfounded. Having a download link would be a great bonus. Youtube is the default and most common choice, but has mediocre video quality and resolution. DivX Web Player has astounding quality, but requires users to download DivX's plugin and forces me to find hosting or purchase more bandwidth, as they no longer serve videos via stage6.

With the iTunes 8 upgrade many users complained of audio quality problems (previous article), in which tracks would sound fuzzy and "muddy" as if there was some gain problem in the processing that was generating clipping in audio playback. This was very apparent in songs that either had high-gain or were otherwise very "full" sounding, but also was apparent in more milder tunes. This persisted despite users' efforts to change the equalizer preamp settings as well as turning off other audio enhancement features to compensate for the problem. Currently the muddiness of the audio has been greatly reduced, but it does still exist for some tracks.
