As a game, cricket is rather famous for its storms in a teacup. Most blow over unlike the betting and bribery scandal that seems to linger on as leagues proliferate. Cricket has this great pretension to be like golf. It might be a genteel game but it is not quite golf that has preserved itself as the posh game.
