The way Google Enterprise director of product management Matt Glotzbach describes it in the attached podcast interview, behind the firewall publishing of video for a variety of purposes (e.g., training) has strictly been the domain of corporations with deep pockets. But given today's addition of secure video publishing and sharing as a feature to the $50 per user per year version of Google Apps (the premier version), businesses need not be Fortune 500 companies to get what essentially is a private version of YouTube for a fraction of what most enterprises would pay for such a solution.

Mobile podcast downloads are now functioning within the iPhone 2.2 beta firmware, reports claim. Although references to the feature were said to be present as far back as late last month, this was unconfirmed, and buttons for the new option were said to be inactive. Users of the firmware should now be able to browse podcasts much in the same as other material on the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, searching by category, with episode lists replacing track lists.

New screenshots of the new iPhone operating system update keep leaking from obscure European sites, where they have no respect for NDAs and cheddar cheese. These ones reveal the fully polished over-the-air podcast interface. We got a glimpse of it before—in the iPhone OS 2.2 rumor round-up—but these show the whole whole thing, including the downloading process over the 3G network. There's a catch, however.

The people at This Ain't Your Dad's Java are back after a little lay off with a new podcast. I'm not sure why Sun seems to be in stealth mode with respect to news of their latest Java releases, but the podcast happens to mention that JavaFX v1.0 for the desktop is due to be released on December 2nd. It's interesting that it hasn't been announced on the JavaFX site, that's still teasing us with "the fall of 2008".
