LAHORE: The annual World Performing Arts Festival is being organized by the Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop here at the Al-hamra Cultural Complex from November 13-23.In a pre-show press briefing here on Thursday festival president Faizaan Peerzada said that the purpose of the event was to further the cause of peace and friendship through a range of performing arts. He said the festival had withstood all the trying times in the past, and adverse conditions created by terrorism were also being braved by the artists from the world over who, for the sake of their common goal of global peace, had decided to come to Pakistan.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center recently opened its new innovative 220,000-square-foot laboratory at its campus in Troy, NY.
