An anonymous reader writes "API Lead at Twitter, Alex Payne, writes today that the Internet was 'built wrong,' and continues to be accepted as an inferior system, due to a software engineering philosophy called Worse Is Better. 'We now know, for example, that IPv4 won't scale to the projected size of the future Internet. We know too that near-universal deployment of technologies with inadequate security and trust models, like SMTP, can mean millions if not billions lost to electronic crime, defensive measures, and reduced productivity,' says Payne, who calls for a 'content-centric approach to networking.' Payne doesn't mention, however, that his own system, Twitter, was built wrong and is consistently down."

Max Payne, for all its style and high production values, is no different. I've never played the video game, but I doubt that experience is relevant to writing a valid review of the movie. Still, just so I had some frame of reference, the friend I saw it with told me it's hardly like the game, and I trust his word. Not that it matters.

"Home Sweet Home" is Polarity/1's take on the classic Sir Henry Bishop and Howard Payne composition. Heavy on percussion and featuring powerful vocals, this rendition still manages to remain chill at its core. This is probably Polarity/1's most sentimental song to date.

N the January 1928 issue of World's Work, just on the eve of the Great Depression, Will Payne took pains to explain the difference between a gambler and an investor. The gambler, he said, wins only because someone loses; with investment, all are winners.

When it comes to film adaptations of videogames, big name actors are usually never attached. Mark Wahlberg starring in the recent Max Payne adaption aside, we just haven't seen many household name actors in game-based films. However, all that is set to change if Cliff Bleszinski gets his way for the film version of Gears of War.
