Oops... Female astronaut loses tool bag during Shuttle spacewalk

It's a common question voiced by many exasperated DIY enthusiasts... just where did I put my tool bag? For one astronaut, making repairs to the International Space Station, the answer was unfortunately into infinity.

Oops, my iPhone just took a photo of my man parts!

The iPhone is far from perfect, despite what the fanboys claim. Don't get me wrong, it's very, very good. But it has some glitches that still need to be worked out, like the dropped calls some users experience, the lack of copy and paste, and that weird bug where it takes a photograph of your crotch and e-mails it to a woman.

Oops! AVG Virus Scanner Crashes Computers

Many techs will agree: antivirus programs can be a hassle. Mostly, the issues tend to stem from slower performance and similar issues that result from using an antivirus program. Still, it’s a bit of a lesser of two evils deal: you can risk getting a virus, or you can deal with lags in performance. Usually, you can count on well-known antivirus programs to only touch malicious files, but this isn’t always the case.

OOPS: Microsoft forgot to register Windows 7 domains

Microsoft may have given its next-gen Windows a proper name (even if it’s the same as the previous ‘Windows 7’ cypher), but it’s missed out registering many domain names connected with Vista’s successor.

Xbox Live Marketplace: Oops! Some Limited Content for All

Xbox Live Marketplace was just recently made available on the Xbox Live website. Instead of having to browse, purchase, and queue the content on the Xbox 360 directly, you can find content and queue downloads to your 360 with a few clicks (and spend your points even quicker!) A probable unforeseen bonus for many (which will be fixed soon more than likely) is most people can now receive some limited content!

Verizon's BlackBerry Storm Private Pre-Sale Has No Storms

Oops. You know that pre-sale flyer that was doing the rounds to Verizon "VIPs", the one with the BlackBerry Storm on the left hand side? Turns out that if you, a VIP, turn up at a store with that very flyer you'll not be able to buy a Storm ahead of its launch. You won't, in fact, be able to touch one to see what it's like. You won't be able to see one. There are none, apparently. All you're able to do is get yourself put on a list for a call from Verizon on Friday so you can pre-order the phone. Okay, the flyer didn't make definite promises...but it's pretty much 100% misleading for Storm fans. Guess everyone has to wait for the real date. [BGR]

Jim Zemlin's New Linux Conference (And Old Solaris News)

Jim Zemlin of the Linux Foundation is a little tired of talking about Solaris. I don't blame him. Sad to say, though, when I spoke to him yesterday about the Linux Foundation's new event, LinuxCon, I started by asking him about ... Solaris. Oops?

Google Can't Tell The Difference Between 'iPhone' And 'Sex'

This is a stitch. British users of Google's new voice-powered search application are finding that the software isn't quite ready for prime-time. The issue? It can't understand the British accent. The outcome? Searches for "iPhone" are returning results for "sex" instead. Um, oops.

Apple's magical iPhone factories to churn out fewer beautifuly shiny gadgets

Say, remember how Apple's iPhone was going to appeal to the not-so-rich and take over the entire handset market and soon every man, woman, and child on the planet would have one? Well, it turns out, not so much, maybe. Apparently analyst types nosing around the iPhone supply chains have found that "iPhone production and the associated supply chain may be experiencing some incremental weakness due to concerns about end demand." In other words, fewer iPhone-related parts are being ordered, because fewer iPhones are going to get made, because fewer people are going to buy them. Like, maybe 40 percent fewer. Oops! It is, I suppose, always difficult to gauge the ongoing demand of a pricey but very innovative product -- sure, a lot of people want one, all at once, but then it gets to the point where they all have one, and they're all pretty muc
