Ninja Gaiden vs. Ninja Gaiden: NES and Xbox Similarities

It's probably not out of line to say that the Ninja Gaiden series, as we know it now on the Xbox platform, is kind of light on story. Even if you're the type to reflexively skip cut-scenes by mashing the Start button every time the screen goes black -- your hands and teeth clenched from having to repeat the last boss battle 38 times -- the plot beneath the games' smooth action isn't the most enthralling or easiest-to-follow stuff in the gaming world.

Comments

The chance to play this game on a controller that is nearly like the classic NES controller is the my deciding factor. I also think 480p and 1080p on this game won't look that different.

On the prowl with Killer Instinct

Rumours are hotting up around the Xbox 360 sequel to the coin-op and Super NES beat-’em-up Killer Instinct. We’re starting to believe them now.

Chrono Trigger Turns Back Clock for DS Release

Video Game Innocence, Is It Lost For Good

Remember Mario? In the early days of the video gaming world, Mario was this cheerful looking, computer graphic image that ran, jumped and stomped on enemies in a little 8 Bit NES game known simply as Super Mario Bros.

Nintendo doing some spring cleaning

From now until June 5, you'll have the opportunity (assuming you have a functioning eBay account and live in North America) to bid on some sealed classic titles for Nintendo's NES, SNES and Gameboy systems:

How to get all iPhone roms Automatically

Forget what I have been saying in the past about getting roms on your iPhone or iPod touch. This new method is 10 times easier and doesn’t use ssh. It is so easy now. This method will get you all NES, SNES, GBA, Genesis, and Gameboy roms. It will even get you the proper emulator to play them.

IPhone 3G Jailbreak Released, Paves Way For Open Source Apps

PainMeds writes "iPhone Atlas is reporting that the first jailbreak for the iPhone 3G has been released, and includes the popular Cydia community installer for distributing free games and applications. Since Apple's SDK was released, web sites have criticized Apple for the restrictions placed on both what developers could write and what APIs they were allowed to use. Others have noted the SDK's incompatibility with the GPL. The Cydia installer has provided a distribution channel for both open source software and software that would otherwise be impossible to build using the restricted SDK. A few applications are already out, including MobileTerminal and NES.app, a Nintendo game console emulator. In just over a week, open development is finally here for the iPhone 3G!"
