When it comes to keeping PC gamers in the loop on their console games, Capcom have long been one of the good guys. And how do PC gamers repay the favour? Same way a lot of PC gamers always do: with mass acts of piracy. When quizzed about the state of Devil May Cry 4's PC sales on Capcom's forums, Christian Svensson replied...

Imagine screaming down the freeway sometime in the near future and seeing this loop rushing forward to fill your windshield. Or, changing gears, what if commercial airlines flew their birds in a V formation, like birds? That's what Dutch design firm NL did recently using Photoshop, everyday architecture, and a little imagination that was perhaps inspired by a certain leaf available in special Dutch tea rooms. Google Tree? Energy-producing monuments? Sure thing!

When a star implodes, a lot of mass collapses into a single spot. Mass, of course, bends time — a bit. Make the star massive enough — a billion times our sun —, and time bends unto itself in a loop.

University of Reading scientists have developed a robot controlled by a biological brain formed from cultured neurons. And this is a world’s premiere. Other research teams have tried to control robots with ‘brains,’ but there was always a computer in the loop. This new project is the first one to examine ‘how memories manifest themselves in the brain, and how a brain stores specific pieces of data.’ As life expectancy is increasing in most countries, this new research could provide insights into how the brain works and help aging people. In fact, the main goal of this project is to understand better the development of diseases and disorders which affect the brain such as Alzheimer or Parkinson diseases. It’s interesting to note that this project is being led by Professor Kevin Warwick, who became famous in 1998 when a silicon

igus® had several new developments in power and data supply for robotic equipment on show at the "Automatica" in Munich. The company has developed a new universal module called "Triflex RS", specifically for robotic applications in very cramped conditions. The multi-axis robotic energy chain "Triflex® RS" is always guided parallel and close to the robot arm, preventing a loop forming or cables becoming strained at the robot head. The low-profile module can be mounted directly to the existing fastening points on the robot. The moving end of energy chain is attached to the sixth axis with a mounting bracket. This system allows general movements, so no specific programming is required. Thanks to its compact design, the system can even be used if there is a valve cluster or distributor box on the third axis.

The move is an effort to pacify customers after the suite experienced three separate outages this month. But more important, Google also vowed to be better at keeping customers in the loop as outages are reported and remediated via a new dashboard.

In 1978 Dr. Amar Bose had an inspiration during a noisy international airline flight. At that time, to enhance passenger entertainment, electronic headphones were replacing older pneumatic tube phones. Unfortunately the fidelity improvements were masked by cabin noise–and the distortion caused by passengers increasing the volume to overcome the noise. Dr. Bose believed it was possible to achieve noise reduction in headphones by means of closed-loop feedback control.

Today, for kicks, I tried to draw a map of all the places I write content, all the places it is displayed, and all the intermediate services that re-post my content in places other than where I originally write it. It's a spaghetti of interlinked services, and it's becoming unmanageable. I think it's just dumb luck that I haven't created an infinite loop of republishing so far. Adding one more service could push things over the edge.
