KUKA Robotics Blazes a Trail

KUKA introduces three innovative technologies at the International Manufacturing Technology Show 2008 CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich., Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- KUKA Robotics Corp. is blazing a trail for the welding sector by making three innovative product introductions in North America -- the KR 5 arc, a versatile and highly dynamic lightweight robot, the KR 5 arc HW (Hollow Wrist) and the PosiFlex positioner at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2008 from Sept. 8-13 at McCormick Place in Chicago, booth B-6000. KR 5 arc -- functionally flexible Thanks to its compact dimensions, the KR 5 arc takes up very little space and can be integrated into virtually any cell concept. Whether mounted on the floor or inverted on the ceiling, the KR 5 arc performs its tasks quickly and efficiently with high continuous-path accuracy, and boast

Industrial Robot

The KUKA KR 1000 Titan can lift a payload of 1,000kg with a reach of 4,000mm. The Titan is a seriesmanufactured machine, which makes it a far more cost-effective solution than conventional systems. The Titan can handle large castings or meter-thick panes of glass. The robot is strong and robust, without compromising on precision or accuracy. At full stretch, it reaches a height of more than 4m. Nine motors are installed, which together deliver the power of a midsized car. As a result, its design called not only for a robust steel base frame, but also for a completely new drive concept. In axes one and three, two motors feed into a single gear unit.

KUKA Robotics Unveils KUKA.CAMROB

KUKA Robotics Corporation has launched its robotic machining solution. Paired with KUKA KR 100 HA Robots, the KUKA.CAMROB Software is suited for high-precision applications including trimming, de-burring, dispensing, striping, gauging, and laser processing. Program includes milling application modules, which are used to integrate milling tools and additional components into complete robotic system as standard products. Custom-configurable system enables prototyping, stoneworking, woodworking, metalworking, and machining of plastics.

World's First Industrial Robot With 1000 kg Payload and 4000 mm Reach

KUKA Robotics Corporation (Clinton Township, MI) offers the KUKA 1000 Titan. With its heavyweight capabilities, it has earned an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. The KR 1000 titan is the world’s first industrial robot that can lift a payload of 1000 kilograms with a reach of 4000 mm.
