Why the iPod touch Makes the iPhone Irrelevant

Have you had a chance to touch the new iPod touch? It's a beautiful gadget--slim, shiny, with the comfy, curvy feel in your hand like it just belongs there. When you're holding the iPod touch, it's impossible to be jealous of fellow subway denizens clutching Nintendo DSes, Sony PsPs, or for that matter, iPhone 3Gs. Cell phones - a computer game

One of the most debated pieces of news this week is Google’s allegedly upcoming smartphone, referred to as gPhone. The device is not expected to be available before next year, but such news travels fast. The hugely successful Apple’s iPhone has made more than a party jealous; Google is one of them. Even more interesting is the operating system, or platform, on which the gPhone will be built and that is called Android. It will bring a unique set of features and functions such a fast web browsing, geographic mapping and GPS (Global Positioning System) that will be directly linked with the user’s contacts list. Music and video go without saying.

Macromedia Hones Flash Development (Review: Macromedia Central)

eWeek does a fairly positive review of Central. The magazine sees Central as a great way to develop stand-alone Flash applications, touting Central's "ability to run data-intensive Flash applications offline and to link data in multiple Central applications in a way that would make most Web services advocates jealous." However, it notes that Central does suffer from some weaknesses of a first time offering, mainly its lack of support for handhelds and its confusing pricing schema.
