Leemeng writes "I'm looking for a simple, free, and F/OSS flat-file database program. I'm storing info about Wi-Fi access points that I come across, maybe 8-9 fields per entry. I've outgrown Notepad. This info is for my own reference only; it is not going on a Web server. Googling was unhelpful, with results skewed towards SQL, Access (MS), and Oracle, all of which would be overkill for my purposes. My criteria are: it must be simple, F/OSS, must work in Windows Vista, preferably use a portable format, must not be an online app, and must not require Java. Does such a beast exist?"

CWRUisTakingMyMoney writes "Companies that assign addresses for Web sites appear to be cutting corners on security more when they assign names in certain domains than in others, according to a report to be released Wednesday by antivirus software vendor McAfee Inc. McAfee found the most dangerous domains to navigate to are .hk, .cn, and .info. Of all .hk sites McAfee tested, it flagged 19.2 percent as dangerous or potentially dangerous to visitors; it flagged 11.8 percent of .cn sites and 11.7 percent of .info sites that way. A little more than 5 percent of the sites under the .com domain — the world's most popular — were identified as dangerous."

McAfee says .HK domain is most dangerous of all It isn't fair to judge a book by its cover, but is it fair to judge a domain name by its TLD? Apparently it is, and a new report published by McAfee confirms that certain TLDs are more dangerous to visit, on average, than others. In particular, they flagged 3 TLDs as exceptionally dangerous, with two to three times the percentage of dangerous sites as others. McAfee lists the .hk, .cn and .info TLDs as the most dangerous, with .hk being the most dangerous of all. Of all the sites queried in .hk, more than 19% were flagged as dangerous or potentially dangerous (whatever that means), compared to 11.8% of .cn domains and 11.7% of .info domains. This is all compared to .com, which ranked at only 5% - but, as it is the most popular TLD, the numbers may be diluted.

That, my dear friends, is what we in the business like to call "Hope for the Future." In what was looking like it would be a huge slump for the DS, with all the Zeldas and Star Foxes and Advance Wars done and gone, it was looking like the DS was going to end up in a Yankees-like rebuilding year with everyone involved denying this was the case. But Square-Enix has dropped a proverbial bombshell on us with what appears to be a teaser site for a DS installment. Clearly, there isn't any sort of information regarding...anything. No screens, movies, info...or even actually saying that it is, indeed, Chrono Trigger (though the clock and the "CTDS" at the end of the URL suggest it). Expect some info to come up during E3. In the meantime, check out MyGamer for more updates as they come available.
