LAHORE: The International Cricket Council (ICC) Thursday confirmed details of the process for the selection of venues for the Twenty20 World Cup 2010 in the West Indies. “As per the host agreement, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has undertaken to recommend its preferred venues to the ICC. The ICC board will consider the recommendation at its quarterly meeting that will take place in Perth, Australia on January 31 and February 1,” said a spokesman for the ICC. The ICC board will then make its decision based on those recommendations. “The Twenty20 World Cup 2010 in the West Indies promises to be another memorable event and we are looking forward to receiving the WICB’s recommendations,” said ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat in a statement.
