Monster Hunter 3 a No-Show for E3

Yesterday, Capcom revealed their planned titles for E3, and it conspicuously lacked one major Wii title. Wii owners and Monster Hunter fans will be gravely disappointed that Capcom has no plans to show Monster Hunter 3 during E3 next week. As of now, Capcom hasn’t revealed a reason behind their decision, but we hope that the title will make its resurgence during the Tokyo Game Show, which will be held in October.

More Japanese chart insanity

We’ve given up trying to understand the Japanese software charts. For weeks now Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G has been selling by the stadium-load, and PSP sales have belittled those of rival consoles as a result. This week it’s a bunch of madcap new entries with über-long names, a PSP baseball game at number one and dear old Monster Hunter is at last on the slide. Go figure!

Free Softare Magazine: Composer, A Potential HTML Based Word Processor

"Rosalyn Hunter writes about using Composer as a stand-in word processor. I too, have used it in this fashion on OS X. I like it for various reasons. For instance, I'm quite familiar with it, as I've used it for website authoring numerous times. It creates HTML files. I've come to the conclusion that HTML is not a bad 'language' to use for a word processor, considering that it already allows for basic editing features--and then some. If it isn't obvious, Composer is an HTML editor that was part of the old Mozilla suite.

Hunt for Black Holes Online

Cardiff University has created a new Black Hole Hunter game. In this game, you listen to audio files which are simulations of waveforms that might result from collisions of massive astronomical objects such as black holes and neutron stars. These signals are results of predictions based on theories of the gravitational waves that would result from such collisions, assuming that the theoretical gravitational waves do indeed exist.
