The Samsung NC10 lacks a model sporting a solid-state disk, but by default it's using a 160GB Fujitsu MHZ2160BH G2 HDD. The Fujitsu 2.5" SATA HDD operates at 5400RPM and has an 8MB cache.

Panasonic Introduces New Camcorders With World's First and Most

PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Panasonic today expanded its 2009 camcorder line with the addition of two Hard Disk Drive (HDD) models, the SDR-H80 and SDR-H90; and one SD Card model, the SDR-S26 -- all of which feature the world's first and most powerful 70x optical ultra-zoom lens*. All three models also include an advanced Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S.) system which helps reduce blur caused by a shaky hand and Panasonic's proprietary Intelligent Auto (iA) technologies, making the camcorders easy to use.

Linux 2.6.28 Kernel Benchmarks

"We had built the Linux 2.6.25, 2.6.26, 2.6.27, and 2.6.28 kernels from source using the same basic configuration on top of an Ubuntu 8.10 installation. Besides the different kernel releases we were using X Server 1.5.2, the NVIDIA 180.18 display driver, GCC 4.3.2, GNOME 2.24.1, and the stock EXT3 file-system. Our test system consisted of an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 processor clocked at 4.00GHz, ASUS P5E64 WS Professional, 2GB of DDR3 memory, 160GB Western Digital WD1600JS-00MHB0 SATA HDD, and NVIDIA GeForce 8600GTS 256MB graphics card.
