I've got a few New Year's resolutions for 2009, like sticking with more edamame and fewer shrimp tempura rolls topped with spicy tuna (which Ichiro on New York's Upper East Side mysteriously calls a Manhattan roll). I've got even more resolutions for digital media -- including those for me, for the industry at large and for certain key players.

Got Google Mobile maps on your device? If you've got the HTC Touch Pro, Diamond or the HD then the chances are it'll be included in the programs list. If not, download it now from google.com/gmm direct from your device. If you've already got it, now's the time to update. The new version includes Street View, which is a fantastic way to virtually travel around cities. A lot of countries are covered, although unfortunately the UK for whatever reason has no coverage at all.

If you have a family that closely resembles our own dysfunctional gene pool, then you know plenty of disappointed folks who desperately wanted an iPhone for Christmas. Instead, they got a high five and a pair of socks. Well, it seems there were plenty of people who aren't related to us that got exactly what they wanted, an iPhone... Oh wait... Never mind. They got an iPod touch... Looks just like the iPhone, and you can do all that neat accelerometer stuff on it. Games are cool.

I purchased this box set yesterday at Best Buy. I got it for $44.99. Not too bad of a price. This makes four(4) copies of my favorite film of all time. I have it on VHS/ DVD~Original/ DVD~Restored/ DVD~Blu Ray~Ultimate Set. If they come out with another version, I am sure that I will purchase it also! Some argue about which film is the best one of all time. In my humble opinion, "CASABLANCA" is the tops! Hands down. I won''t start talking about those that come close to "Casablanca". That would open up a whole new can of cinematic worms.lol. Trust me. This is the one. Thanks, Papa Larry H

You got time, you got time,” a student nervously repeated as he watched his teammate work a joystick that maneuvered a small robot around a course set up in the McConnell lobby. The robot, built by a group of mechanical engineering students from Professor Peter Radziszewski’s Conceptual Design Class, had drawn a crowd. About 30 students, two of them filming the event with digital video cameras, packed three deep around the course, jostling to catch a glimpse of the action.

Alright, so I've got some good news and I've got some bad news. The good news is that a leaked internal Wal-Mart memo has essentially confirmed that the insanely large megastores will indeed by stocking the Apple iPhone 3G and they will be selling it at a reduced price. That's the bright side.

"Once you've got the ISO downloaded and your thumb drive configured properly, you've got two options for how to create the bootable drive. The first is easier, but involves burning a CD. If you think you might have use for an Ubuntu Live CD, or if you've already made one for some other purpose or just have a ton of extra blank CDs, this is probably the way to go for you.

Today for review I've got a rather unusual looking and named BT headset, the Dragon V2 from Callpod. It's got an excellent feature set including 100 meter range, walkie-talkie abilities and dual pairing, along with a nice assortment of accessories included. The Dragon V2 is a Bluetooth headset that takes some getting accustomed to for not only fit but usability as well, once you get past the initial period of ownership though you'll find out the Dragon V2 is not a bad product overall.

Back when 1up first got word of I Am Alive, a new disaster game from Ubisoft, the popular gossip was that the title would feature Jade Raymond (of Assassin's Creed fame) as producer. Since then, Ubisoft hasn't provided much info aside from the debut trailer above, but 1up finally got new details courtesy of the cover story from the latest issue of GamesTM. And as it turns out, Raymond isn't as involved with the title as the rumor mill led us to believe.
