Search giant Google yesterday demonstrated gesture- and touchscreen-based password entry on a prototype Linux Android phone, according to reports. Part of a Google developer conference, the demonstration also reportedly showed off a "compass" feature that adjusts Google Maps' Street View according to the user's orientation.

Turbine has launched a new content update for Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, adding a new class and other new content to the D&D MMORPG. The update is titled The Way of the Monk, in honor of the new Monk class it introduces, and other new goodies include landscapes and three adventures, raids, and additional solo adventures. The update also adds a memorial for Gary Gygax, the D&D co-creator who recently passed away. Set in a wooded alcove near Delera’s Tomb, the adventure series Gary Gygax narrated, a symbolic memorial site has been erected for visitors to pay homage to Dungeon Master Gary Gygax.

Beauty Bloggers are no new phenomena to savvy New Yorkers. They all got mightily upset, though when the New York Times published an article about their blogging activities, entitled, “Swag, please.” The general tone of the feature was that beauty bloggers are hobbyist writers desperate for free beauty goodies. While there will always be a few ‘rogue traders’, on the whole, USA beauty bloggers have presented a welcome new voice in the beauty world.
