The work of gay marketing specialist Out Now and World Travel Market (WTM) is now available online for a global audience. The lesbian and gay market for travel and tourism has become increasingly sought after -- particularly at a time of global slowdown. Out Now gay market research shows that lesbian and gay appetite for travel remains comparatively strong, especially as a result of the higher prevalence of “Double Income No Kids” (DINK) households which characterizes the gay market in many markets globally. WTM has released a new online webinar, featuring Out Now’s CEO Ian Johnson, presenting the latest gay marketing knowledge including lesbian and gay market research, case studies and strategic insight. The webinar was created during the recent “Gay Marketing Masterclass by Out Now” held in London at WTM.

While I have no arguments over who can play what role artistically, I have a big problem as a gay man with Hollywood refusing to cast openly gay men in films such as Milk for leading roles. Harvey Milk was all about visibility in real life. Therefore, once my company begins filming, gay men will be playing gay roles. This was where Prop 8 failed. We counted on other people to "represent" us instead of ourselves. So simple, yet nobody, gay or straight, in Hollywood, wants to get it. By the way, you "represent" like hell, baby!

Yesterday morning a Facebook friend updated her status with: Obama chooses anti-gay evangelist to bless his presidency; I'm boycotting the inauguration. My impulse was to ignore the status update and go on with my busy day: I had a mountain of things to accomplish as well as absorbing the death of a relative and trying to meet a writing deadline. But then it hit me, why is Obama's minister choice such a surprise? Obama has been wishy-washy about his gay sentiments throughout his campaign. One day he speaks out against civil right violations, but insists marriage is between a man and a woman—no ifs ands or buts. But then during his Acceptance Speech he roars out over a crowd of millions something about opening American doors to its gay and *** citizens.

From the article: "We trust the collective PlayStation Home-playing community about as far as we can throw them, but we can't help but agree with a recent San Francisco Chronicle article that criticizes the "game's" ridiculously strict chat censorship policy. The article explores the case of Michael Marsh, who attempted to start a gay/straight alliance club, only to find that the words gay, lesbian and bisexual (all "preferred terms" in the gay community) were being blocked by the profanity filter; a policy Marsh worries could encourage players to think of them as pejorative terms."

When a fun-loving pair of gossipy homos gets together, nobody is safe. Sure, instant messaging is a wonderful tool for workplace communication and for late-night, ahem, romantic dalliances. But during those down times in the gay media business, what else is there to do but eviscerate the glitterati?

It's a sad day in America when people are vilified for exercising their right to vote according to their own conscience. The gay community and its supporters voted according to their own consciences. Why are others not allowed to do the same under the Constitution without being discriminated against because of it? The number of Mormons in California is minuscule compared with the rest of the population. I think you're giving them way too much credit and should be asking the rest of the population why gay marriage didn't matter enough to them to vote for Prop. 8. It's a level playing field. You sound awfully bitter.
