RPGVault is running an article commemorating the 10th anniversary of acclaimed RPG Baldur's Gate. They sat down with members of the Dragon Age: Origins team, some of whom worked on Baldur's Gate, to talk about their experiences with the game and what made it so popular. While speaking at their analyst day, Atari revealed that the company had started work on a new Baldur's Gate title. The original game was a huge hit on the PC, earning a 4/5 stars rating on this site while it's sequel earned a 93% score back in 2000. Atari is also planning to bring back the venerable Test Drive series.

Perhaps Microsoft is using this patent to push against Android OS being used on FPGA based CPU's. Field Programmable Gate Arrays are almost perfect for "gear-shifting" CPUs. New firmware can be downloaded to the gate array and used to boost performance. Most of the products a FPGA could be easily used in would be net books or upscale handheld PDAs or smart phones. Android would be (at least in concept) a perfect OS to use because its scalable as well.
