The search engine initially launched the function in Gmail labs in October this year, but quickly removed it after a glitch was discovered. However the glitch has now been removed and the function has been reintroduced.

OK I dont know if this is gonna make any sense or not.. I only use the Cingular Data plan for the GPS function when im out of town, otherwise I have found that if Im going somewhere new I will just get directions and drive.. well while on previous vacation I noticed during a stint where the data plan was not getting any bars, the GPS still works and tells you hey turn here and turn here in .9 miles, so technically it had everything I would want without the street names and such on the map area but it did say at the scroll across the bottom the street name and all.

IPhone owners who download Amazon’s new contribution to the App Store should expect some surly looks from salesfolk if they try out one experimental function in the aisles of their local brick-and-mortar stores. Aside from providing a tailored interface for mobile browsing of offerings from Amazon and its retail partners, the free app is also serving as a test of a subversive little feature called Amazon Remembers. Using the iPhone’s camera, you can take a picture of most anything, store it to jog your memory later, or, more interestingly, submit it to the flesh-and-blood searchers who function as Amazon’s Mechanical Turk. Anywhere from five minutes to 24 hours later, you’ll get back a listing of Amazon sources selling the same item, potentially at a better price.

Callpod's new Dragon Bluetooth headset covers a range of more than 300 feet, as opposed to the standard 30 feet, and has noise suppression for better talking and listening. Dragons can function as walkie-talkies within a 250,000-square-foot area - no phones needed. In addition, the headsets are full duplex, so one person doesn't have to wait for the other to finish talking before speaking. Talk time with the Dragon is rated at eight hours, but is reduced when using the two-way radio function. Cost: $130.

In a study to be published in the January 09 issue of Experimental Biology and Medicine, Hoover-Plow and co-workers in seeking to define a role of apo(a) in leukocyte recruitment have identified a novel activity of apo(a) apolipoprotein that may function as a natural and cell specific suppressor of the inflammatory response in vivo. In addition, a mechanism for this novel function of apo(a) was also identified: its selective regulation of cytokine production. These effects of apo(a) are independent of its molecular mimicry of Plg.

If you have performed much in the way of basic data analysis using LINQ (Language Integrated Query), you probably have noticed that standard deviation is not included out of the box. Why Standard Deviation is missing is a mystery as LINQ does include the other basic aggregators such as min, max, avg, sum, and count. To construct a function to perform standard deviation over a set of numbers, you need to examine the math. Figure 1 shown below is the basic standard deviation function.
