December 10 marked the 60th anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). U.S. First Lady and U.N. delegate Eleanor Roosevelt was the architect of the UDHR, which guarantees the political and civic rights of all people, including the rights to freedom of expression, to freedom from other forms of oppression, and to privacy.
