Time to get ridiculous! The winter holiday season is all too often filled with seriousness instead of celebration. Let's do something to lighten the mood. Time to be silly and just enjoy ourselves. The more absurd the situation, the better! This is also an excellent opportunity for those of you who enjoy setting up creative interpretations of themes. This is finally your excuse to have a water balloon fight where a few of the balloons are filled with things like chocolate pudding instead of water. Put those thinking caps on and get creative. Got pets or kids? You've got it easy, those subjects are always up to something funny.

2008 was a year filled with quite a lot of transactions, takeovers, mergers and acquisitions in the whole entertainment industry. The gaming segment didn't escape this trend, and we've seen some very interesting moves on the market, as Tecmo merged with Koei, and Warner bought even more shares in Tomb Raider creator Eidos Interactive.

The papers have been filled with reviews of the year and we're barrelling into awards season, so it's only fitting that we have some awards of our own.
