The endorsement of the draft Fiscal Code by the Government was deferred to this week, with emergency procedures to be initiated for its endorsement by Parliament, so as to ensure that parliamentary debates are completed by June 1, 2006, Nine o'Clock reports.The Ministry for Public Finances (MFP) will also publish the relevant enforcement norms, within 60 days since the Code is published in the Official Journal. The enforcement norms will take effect on January 1, 2007, announced the Ministry. Romania must endorse the Fiscal Code as soon as possible and to complete procedures for the improvement of excise collection, revealed talks held during the recent meeting of the Romania – EU Association Subcommittee on customs, taxation, drugs and money laundering.

ON JULY 30th John McCain’s campaign released an anti-Barack Obama advertisement on the McCain YouTube channel. The ad compared Mr Obama’s celebrity to that of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. By August 13th it had been viewed 2m times, TV and newspapers had taken it up, a bikini-clad Paris had launched a spirited riposte (“Thanks for the endorsement, white-haired dude�) and it was still the most viewed clip on the McCain channel. In reply, Mr Obama’s campaign launched “Low Road Express�, a website that mocked Mr McCain’s reputation for straight talk. On July 31st the Republican National Committee launched “Obama Audacity Watch�, to track less-than-glowing stories and clips about him.

Ghostbusters Ecto-1 For Sale on eBay
