Two weeks ago Wolves battered and outclassed Preston North End 3-1 under a sunny sky in Lancashire. Two weeks later under a dark wet and windy atmosphere Wolves were outclassed by Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. The big difference ?.... Wolves were without five on their first team with Iwelumo (stupid sending off), Kightly Jarvis and SEB (injured) and Hennessey (dropped to to lack of confidence ??) all missing

I'm not sure just what purpose the league games serve in the CL pre-Christmas stage. Is it to weed out all the teams that the European hierarchy deem 'weak', or should we say, 'not profitable enough', so the knockout stages can actually start filling grounds? Is it just a money generator in terms of the TV rights, and I guess by default, a way to ensure the safe passage of the 'big' teams? Whatever, it serves little purpose to ourselves who although we've gained three points and a plus three goal difference, have lost two players who are key to further success.

Give or take a fraction of a millimetre difference in the width and length, the iPhone 3G looks virtually identical to the original. The chief difference is the new glossy black, slightly bulbous rear plastic casing, which replaces the brushed stainless steel of the first edition.

Khaled Kenawi leans out of the window and surveys the battered concrete, the graffiti-daubed walls, the peeling posters and the teenagers lounging on the ripped-up sofas surrounded by beer bottles. 'Shutting down all this would be a huge loss,' he says. 'There is a difference between the art market and art, and we are that difference.'

Back awhile ago I did a review on plossl eyepieces. In that article I was trying to reach for the average individual looking for a high quality eyepiece on a limited budget. This time I asked for an example of observatory quality eyepieces that I know some of our readers own and enjoy. Is there a difference between how a very expensive eyepiece behaves in average equipment as opposed to an average eyepiece? Is there a difference in how it behaves in observatory class equipment? Step inside and let's take a look…

Scorecards can be misleading things. When one tells you that 10 of the 11 faced at least 14 deliveries, it would be fair to assume that the batting side had piled up a formidable total. You certainly wouldn't expect a 46-over crawl to 146, and a top score of 23.

Scott Aaronson offers an intriguing call for ideas on how nerds can supercharge the political process this year. He's clearly an Obama admirer and phrases his challenge this way: "What non-obvious things can nerds who are so inclined do to help the Democrats win in November?" But the question itself is not inherently partisan. The analogy Aaronson gives is to the Nadertrading idea in 2000 (which we discussed at the time). What's the Nadertrading for 2008? "The sorts of ideas I'm looking for are ones that (1) exploit nerds' nerdiness, (2) go outside the normal channels of influence, (3) increase nerds' effective voting power by several orders of magnitude, (4) are legal, (5) target critical swing states, and (6) can be done as a hobby."

Because the percent of online adults who travel for business in the US and Canada is so similar — 29% and 28%, respectively — Forrester took a closer look at their similarities and differences to help travel eBusiness professionals successfully serve these audiences. Although US and Canadian online business travelers are similar in many ways — gender, age, travel behavior, and more — distinct differences exist. For example, US online business travelers are more likely to own laptops and smartphones. In contrast, Canadian online business travelers are more likely to visit and update or maintain profiles on social networking sites — especially Facebook. To succeed, travel eBusiness and channel strategy professionals should focus on content, provide more business-travel-related context, and plan Canadian-specific eBusiness channel
